Consignor Information

Everything you need to prepare, tag, and participate in the Trendy Trades Consignment Sale.

Tagging Instructions

Every item must be tagged correctly before drop-off. Follow these instructions carefully.

  • All clothing items must have a 3 × 5 index card attached with a SAFETY PIN on the right side over the heart.
  • No straight pins are allowed.
  • Shoes, books, toys, and other miscellaneous items must be placed in a Ziploc bag with a 3 × 5 index card inside and tightly taped closed.
  • All other items must have an index card firmly taped to the top, side, or bottom as necessary.
  • Your consignor code goes in the top-left corner of the index card. It is created using your first initial, last initial, and the last four digits of your phone number. Example: AN0349
  • In the upper-right area of the index card, write the item size.
  • In the center of the index card, write the item description.
  • The item price goes in the bottom-right corner of the index card.
  • All items must be priced at a minimum of $3.00.
  • WRITE IN RED INK if you do NOT want your item to go half-price on Sunday.
  • Place a "D" beside your consignor code if you want the item donated after the sale.
  • All hangers must face left, like a question mark (?).

Participation Information

Here is what you can expect as a Trendy Trades consignor.

70% You / 30% House

You keep 70% of your total sales.

$10 Registration Fee

Collected at drop-off.

Early Shopping

You and a guest shop early at the participant and half-price sale.

Volunteers Needed

Help is needed before, during, and after the sale.

Earn 75%–80% as a Volunteer

Volunteers earn a higher percentage of proceeds and get to shop the worker sale.

Flexible Hours

Flexible work hours available for stay-at-home and working parents.

Before Drop-Off Checklist

Use this quick checklist to make sure you are ready for drop-off day.

1Prepare a 3 × 5 index card for each item.
2Use safety pins for all clothing items.
3Bag and securely tape shoes, books, toys, and miscellaneous items.
4Add your consignor code, size, description, and price to each card.
5Price every item at $3.00 or higher.
6Mark any half-price or donation instructions correctly.
7Make sure all hangers face left.
8Bring the official Consignment Form.
